Hi! I'm Miss Kris, former teacher, full-time Adventure Instigator, and proud founder of the Barefoot Adventurer's Club.
After years of watching education become more about sitting still, memorizing facts, and coloring inside someone else's lines, I finally asked myself...
What happened to imagination?
Because here's the truth:
The best learning doesn't happen when kids are told what to think.
It happens when they're handed a pirate map, a dragon with stage fright, a friendly werewolf addicted to belly rubs, or a lonely Kraken... and invited to imagine, "What happens next?"
That's why I traded worksheets for adventures.
Now I spend my days writing laugh-out-loud stories, inventing ridiculous monsters, sending kids on creative Quests, and encouraging them to build, draw, write, film, invent, perform, and dream up worlds that have never existed before.
Around here, we don't worry about being perfect.
We celebrate curiosity.
We cheer for weird.
We believe dragons can play piano, ghosts can become friends, pirates can throw beach parties, and every kiddo… of any age… has ideas worth exploring.
